The Main Street Family Care Preceptorship Program is designed to provide aspiring healthcare professionals, specifically physician assistants, with hands-on experience and mentorship in a dynamic urgent care setting. This program aims to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical clinical skills, preparing individuals for successful careers in healthcare.

• Duration: Typically spans a month or semester, offering comprehensive understanding of urgent care operations.
• Mentorship: Participants work closely with experienced healthcare professionals for guidance and support.
• Clinical Exposure: Gain experience with a variety of patient cases, enhancing clinical skills and critical thinking.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Engage with a healthcare team including physicians, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, and support staff.

• Currently enrolled in an accredited physician assistant program.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Desire to work in urgent care (preferred).
• Have an active affiliation agreement*

• Schedule a 45-minute interview with Clinic Management.
• If selected, we will match you with a preceptor at a nearby clinic.
• Receive a welcome letter and complete onboarding.
