The Main Street Family Care Preceptorship Program provides aspiring healthcare professionals, especially physician assistants, with hands-on experience and mentorship in an urgent care setting. It aims to bridge academic knowledge with practical skills, preparing individuals for healthcare careers.

• Duration: Typically one month or semester, offering comprehensive understanding of urgent care operations.
• Mentorship: Work closely with experienced healthcare professionals for guidance and support.
• Clinical Exposure: Exposure to diverse patient cases to enhance clinical skills and critical thinking.

• Currently enrolled in an accredited physician assistant program.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Preference for those interested in urgent care.
• Have an active affiliation agreement.*

• Submit a resume and answer application questions.
• Qualified candidates will be contacted for a phone screening to discuss the program and answer questions.
• Post-screening, schedule a 45-minute interview with Clinic Management.
• If selected, candidates will be matched with a preceptor at a nearby clinic. Placement details will be shared.
• Receive a welcome letter and complete onboarding.
