A growing organization is seeking an experienced Controller to lead and manage all accounting and financial operations. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting functions, financial reporting, and compliance while providing leadership to the finance team.
The Controller will ensure the accuracy of financial information, implement effective financial systems and controls, and support leadership with financial insights that drive operational and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all accounting operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, treasury, and general ledger activities
- Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Prepare and analyze monthly and annual financial reports to identify trends and forecast performance
- Monitor and manage company cash flow and financial transactions
- Supervise and develop accounting and finance team members
- Recommend and implement improvements to accounting systems and financial processes
- Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and properly documented
- Maintain compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies
- Coordinate with external auditors to support audits and ensure regulatory compliance
- Support the development of budgets and financial forecasts
- Analyze financial data and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Implement controls and procedures to improve financial accuracy and operational efficiency
- Provide financial insights and reporting to executive leadership
- Strong ethical standards and professional integrity
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop and mentor team members
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly present financial concepts and recommendations
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of financial planning, forecasting, and cost accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum 5+ years of accounting leadership experience
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
