Job Summary

We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Test Engineer Intern to support the development, integration, and testing of space‑qualified payloads. This role involves assisting with electrical test planning, executing bench‑ and system‑level tests, and supporting environmental testing activities including vibration, shock, thermal vacuum (TVAC), and thermal cycling. The intern will analyze test data, troubleshoot electrical and hardware issues, and work in cleanroom environments in collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with electrical test planning.
  • Execute bench‑ and system‑level tests.
  • Support environmental testing activities (vibration, shock, TVAC, thermal cycling).
  • Analyze test data and troubleshoot electrical/hardware issues.
  • Work in cleanroom environments with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Qualifications
  • Basic Qualifications
    • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
    • Entering senior year following the summer internship.
    • Familiarity with basic circuit analysis, lab instrumentation, and test procedures.
  • Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies
    • Interest in aerospace or space systems preferred.
    • Thrives on innovation and challenge.
    • Able to excel in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment where small teams share a broad variety of duties.
    • Effective problem‑solving, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Focuses on teamwork, collaboration and puts the success of the team above one’s own interests.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to work in an office and manufacturing environment (constant).
  • Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (constant).

Salary Range

ITAR Requirement

This position requires access to information subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under the ITAR and the EAR, or be approved for an export license by the governing agency. A U.S. person is a U.S. citizen, U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder), or a protected individual such as a refugee or asylee.

Some positions will require current U.S. citizenship due to contract requirements.
