LHH is partnering with an advanced aerospace organization developing high-altitude flight systems to identify a Junior Flight Test Engineer. This role is designed for early-career engineers who want hands-on exposure to flight test operations, mission support, and aerospace system validation while learning from experienced test professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support day-to-day execution of ground and flight test activities by assisting senior engineers during test operations
  • Prepare and maintain test artifacts such as checklists, configuration records, data logs, and test packages
  • Assist with setup and verification of test hardware, instrumentation, and vehicle configurations prior to testing
  • Monitor telemetry and system health data during test events and flag anomalies for further review
  • Perform initial data cleanup, organization, and basic analysis following tests
  • Document test observations, lessons learned, and discrepancies in tracking systems
  • Participate in pre-test briefings and post-test debriefs to build operational and technical knowledge
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to support troubleshooting and validation of fixes
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Internship, academic project, or early-career experience related to flight test, systems, or vehicle testing
  • Strong technical curiosity and willingness to work in hands-on test environments
  • Ability to follow structured processes while adapting to changing test conditions
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
  • Exposure to flight vehicles, UAVs, or high-altitude systems through school or internships
  • Familiarity with basic data analysis tools (MATLAB, Python, or similar)
  • Interest in long-term growth within flight test or mission operations
  • Base salary range: $130,000–$140,000, based on experience and level
