Systems Integration Engineer
We are seeking a Mission Integration Engineer to join our team at Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico. This full-time position requires a TS/SCI clearance and may involve travel as needed. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with the U.S. Space Force, contributing to high-quality product delivery for space missions.
Responsibilities- Provide SETA support for both the Space Test Program and Mission Integration Branch.
- Develop and implement Research and Development (R&D) multi-payload satellite and launch missions, including assembly, integration, launch, and operations.
- Perform mission assessments of technical and schedule readiness for satellites.
- Assess risks associated with satellites and the launch vehicle.
- Deliver technical guidance for the design, development, assembly, integration, and testing of space vehicles in support of payload, spacecraft, and launch vehicle integration.
- Review launch provider Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and related technical documentation to ensure compliance with government policy, customer requirements, and space flight regulations.
- Support launch manifest development and apply systems engineering principles to space vehicle development, assembly, testing, and integration.
- Function as a liaison with the Space Operations Center for requesting on-orbit two-line element support for satellites from launch through the first year on-orbit.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
- Minimum 5-8+ years of experience in development and implementation of R&D multi-payload satellite and launch missions, assembly, integration, launch, and operations.
- Experience in system integration and mission requirements.
Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with Space System Command space and ground satellite systems.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
The role is based in an Air Force Base setting, requiring badging and handling of highly classified information. You will work within a dynamic and supportive team environment, contributing to the U.S. Space Force and U.S. Space Systems Command on the Space Combat and Test Team.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albuquerque, NM.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $75.00/hr.
