What Your Job Will Be Like:
We are a seeking a responsible, enthusiastic, and conscientious Graduate Summer Intern to support an exciting experimental program in advanced packaging of semiconductor devices and power modules. The intern will join a team focused on design, simulation, fabrication, and electro-thermal characterization of advanced packaging approaches for next-generation power electronics applications.
On any given day, you may be called upon to:
+ Design and simulate packaged GaN/SiC power semiconductors using CAD and multi-physics software packages.
+ Carry out fabrication and process development, including die bonding, 3D printing, wire bonding, and encapsulation of test-structure assemblies.
+ Conduct electrical and thermal characterization of fabricated assemblies to identify performance improvements and failure modes.
+ Communicate results with stakeholders (e.g. circuits and systems) to ensure proper system-level integration.
+ Demonstrate the ability to work effectively and responsibly in a research team and contribute towards a safe and secure laboratory working environment.
Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite.
Salary Range:

Our pay structure is based on earned credit hours, classification, and degree level. Your pay rate will be determined during the hire process and included in your offer package. Qualifications We Require:
You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:
+ Earned bachelor's degree
+ Currently attending and enrolled full time in the spring term immediately preceding the internship (or scheduled to graduate in the spring) in an accredited science, engineering, or math graduate program
+ Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0
+ Ability to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer
+ U.S. citizens, legal permanent residents, asylees or refugees in the U.S.

Qualifications We Desire:
+ The candidate must be pursuing an MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
+ Good oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
+ Functional knowledge and understanding of a suite of standard computer software skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
+ Have a GPA 3.5/4.0
+ Strong understanding of power module topologies and correlation of data-sheet parameters to module-level performance.
+ Hands-on experience with electrical and thermal laboratory testing equipment (e.g., curve tracers, parameter analyzers, high-voltage power supplies, thermal imaging).
+
Experience with CAD and Multiphysics software packages (Solidworks, Altium, Ansys AEDT) and/or power semiconductor and module fabrication.
+ Experience designing or building printed circuit boards for test fixtures.
+ Proficiency in programming languages for instrument control and data analysis (e.g., Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW).
