Sr Electrical Engineer FPGA Design

Summary Designs, develops, and tests all aspects of electrical components, equipment, and systems. Performs routine logic design tasks associated with the development of new products or sustaining of existing products. May mentor more junior engineers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Implements complex digital circuit designs involving microelectronics and analog devices.
Utilizes computer aided design software as an integral part of the design and development process.
Performs functional tests on relevant electronic assemblies and documents results.
Assists in troubleshooting problems.
Research component specifications for use in designs.
Prepares supporting documentation.
Provides estimates of task duration.
Mentors more junior engineers

Requirements and Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Typically requires 10 years of Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) design or related experience
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering required
Possess a working knowledge of laboratory test equipment used to test and troubleshoot FPGA logic designs including logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
Strong troubleshooting and debugging/testing skills, hardware design, interfacing and configuration skills.
Systems and Software support/integration skills
Must have experience in technical documentation

Experience with Quartus design tools and Aldec simulation tools a plus.
