Lead Major Aviation Projects | Growth Opportunity | Employee Ownership

RS&H seeks a motivated Aviation Project Manager to join our growing Albuquerque aviation team. This is your chance to take ownership of complex aviation projects while building your career with a nationally-recognized, employee-owned firm in the heart of the Southwest's expanding aviation market.

New Mexico's aviation sector is experiencing steady growth across commercial, military, and general aviation. As a Project Manager in our Albuquerque Aviation team, you'll lead projects that shape the region's aviation infrastructure from the Rio Grande Valley to the Four Corners while advancing your career in one of the Southwest's most dynamic markets.

Lead Projects End-to-End

• Lead, develop, and deliver aviation projects from concept through construction airfield design, pavement engineering, utilities, terminals, and more
• Oversee production teams, quality assurance, and financial performance
• Focus on innovative design and technical excellence
• Coordinate with airports, airlines, FAA, and stakeholders across New Mexico and the Southwest
• Handle construction administration, grant management, and multi-disciplinary coordination

Drive Business Growth

• Build and maintain strong client relationships across the region
• Support business development efforts to expand our Southwest presence
• Contribute to proposal development and capture strategies
• Represent RS&H at regional industry events and professional organizations

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program
• 7+ years of civil engineering experience, with 4+ years in aviation
• PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months
  
  Proven ability to lead design teams and manage project delivery
• Strong technical knowledge of aviation design fundamentals
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Willingness to travel across New Mexico and the Southwest region
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office

• Existing relationships with Southwest aviation clients
• Experience with FAA funding and grant administration
• Background in both design and construction phases
• Track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
• Thrives in collaborative, team-oriented environments
• Understanding of regional environmental and climate considerations
