As the Lead Spacecraft Integration and Test Engineer at Black Ve, you will play a pivotal role in leading our spacecraft assembly, integration, and test (AI&T) activities. You will be a critical member of the Spacecraft Programs Team by leading AI&T of our prototype spacecraft. This will include developing, leading, and interfacing with teams of cross-functional scientists, engineers, software developers and technicians to ensure successful assembly, integration, and test strategies and execution.

You will be required to identify and lead work within a small and agile team on a broad set of tasks and ensure the highest quality product through all phases of the space element design, build, test and operations. • Lead the execution of the company's Spacecraft AI&T activities
• Identify, create, and curate Black Ve’s spacecraft AI&T strategy, processes, systems, and facilities
• Identify, design, develop, and implement all AI&T production protocols, assemblies, testing methods and equipment
• Provide leadership and mentorship across the Black Ve Spacecraft Programs AI&T team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
• Serve as a subject matter expert on spacecraft AI&T and space launch
• Experience with standard lab equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, thermocouples/temp sensors
• Experience with qualification and acceptance testing of hardware products
• Proven ability to create test plans, test cases, test procedures, and test reports
• Documentation of key activities such as test results, quality control and failures
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software integration problems
• Reports progress in meeting program requirements periodically

• Degree or Engineering Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field – OR – 15+ years of related experience AI&T engineering or operations, including full program life cycle from proposal to project close out.
• Proven track record of successfully leading spacecraft AI&T initiatives in a complex, fast moving environment for a major space program, preferably in a commercial environment.
• Experience with assembly workflows, procedure development, hazardous operations, electrical and mechanical proficiency as applicable to small satellite systems.
• Experience with any of the following:
  Epsilon3, Labview, Matlab, Python, Altium, Solid Works, AutoCAD.
• Must have the ability to qualify and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.

• Experience with launch campaign planning, logistics and participation.
• Ability to effectively communicate professionally in writing or verbally with all levels of personnel.
• Experience with control of sensitive and confidential information as required by company standards.
• Experience working in cleanroom environments.

This position is based in Albuquerque, NM, with occasional travel to other company locations, partner facilities or launch sites as needed.
