Job Overview

HII‑Mission Technologies seeks a Systems Test Engineer for work at Kirtland AFB, Albuquerque, New Mexico. The role supports a seven‑year contract to provide quick‑response technology assessments for the Office of the Secretary of Defense, including technology demonstrations, laboratory and field experiments, and integrated research and analyses. You’ll evaluate technology/concept studies and deliver impartial assessment services to support time‑sensitive programmatic decisions across a wide array of domains and systems.

What

You Will Do
  • Develop and direct preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for systems tests, evaluating results against specifications, requirements, and operational needs while considering technical, schedule and cost constraints.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and document test data and results.
  • Assess COTS and GOTS equipment specifications for operational use.
  • Present results to senior leaders to support decisions protecting operational missions worldwide.
  • Attend meetings and conduct interviews to develop studies and final reports.
  • Ensure test adequacy by developing methodologies, scenarios, and data collection plans.
  • Assist in the execution of test events and data collection.
  • Produce test reports in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Perform technical analysis of complete systems and prepare comprehensive system‑level evaluations.
  • Prepare recommendations and participate in discussions to evaluate and determine design adequacy.
  • Assist in producing and briefing study results.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Support other analysts to consolidate test results.
  • Lead a team or work as a data collector for another team when necessary.
  • Integrate and organize test results into complete refined reports.
What We Are Looking For
  • Demonstrated history of technical writing.
  • Five years relevant experience with a bachelor’s in a related field, or three years relevant experience with a master’s, or high school diploma or equivalent with nine years relevant experience.
  • Current Top‑Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Strong self‑motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to review, produce, define, and design tests that determine performance with the customer.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects and handle schedule changes and short‑suspense tasks.
  • Experience in RF, cellular, cyber, and networking technologies with a desire to learn new technology.
