Program Manager

Overview

Science, Engineering, Management Solutions, LLC (Sem-Sol) is a small business located in Albuquerque, NM. The company consists of skilled scientists, engineers and technicians that specialize in directed energy and pulsed power systems.

Sem-Sol is seeking a Program Manager who can direct multiple teams to successful project completion. We are looking for a Program Manager who is:

• Self-motivated - you know what needs to get done and you do it.
• Organized - you could be leading multiple programs simultaneously, so you need to be able to manage the details: budgets, deadlines, reporting requirements, etc.
• Experienced - you will be leading a technical team that ranges in experience, so we need to count on your knowledge and execution of program management methodology and techniques, budgeting, and resource allocation to keep everyone on task and on target.

• Daily management of projects.
• Defining the project controls.
• Interfacing with the scheduler creating the project’s critical path and monitoring the progress.
• Managing the project’s budget.
• Measuring percent complete on tasks.
• Managing risks and issues and taking corrective action measurements.
• Planning and executing communication plans to stakeholders.
• Ensuring contract deliverable deadlines are met.

• 10+ years project/program management experience; specifically, federal government contracts.
• Experience working in an R&D or prototyping environment.
• Experience working with directed energy or pulsed power projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• BA or BS

• MS in project management or engineering
• Active Top Secret security clearance

To be eligible for this opportunity, you must meet the following requirements:

• This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
• Active Security Clearance is required or ability to obtain a security clearance.
