Thin FIlm Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide hands on technical leadership and ongoing manufacturing support across production operations.
• Lead and develop a team of approximately five to ten engineers, setting technical direction and priorities.
• Analyze, optimize, and sustain manufacturing processes using structured problem solving approaches and design of experiments.
• Ensure stable, safe, and repeatable manufacturing operations while driving improvements in quality, yield, throughput, efficiency, and cost.
• Introduce new process methodologies, tools, and best practices to enhance existing manufacturing capabilities.
• Drive improvements in process capability metrics such as Cp and Cpk while supporting increased production volumes and maintaining quality standards.
• Gather, analyze, and document process data, clearly communicating findings through reports and presentations to support data driven decisions.
• Contribute technical input to incident investigations and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Review materials, products, and equipment to identify process deviations, defects, or performance issues.
• Define and sequence manufacturing operations to maximize efficiency and effective use of resources.
• Establish qualification processes for manufacturing tools, workstations, and operational readiness prior to product release.
• Develop and implement training and certification processes for technical staff on manufacturing equipment and procedures.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Five or more years of experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment, with a focus on etch and thin film processes; experience in related areas such as photolithography or surface finishing is beneficial.
• Eligibility to access export controlled technical information in accordance with applicable regulations, requiring appropriate work authorization.
