About This OpportunityJoin our team as a GIS Tech, where you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our utility infrastructure. In this position, you’ll leverage cutting‑edge GIS and CAD tools to create accurate, detailed maps and schematics that support the design, construction, and maintenance of our gas facilities. Your work will ensure the integrity and efficiency of our utility operations by producing and maintaining both electronic and hard‑copy facility drawings.
From updating records to supporting critical projects, you’ll be at the center of transforming data into actionable insights that keep our systems running safely and reliably.

- Enter pipeline information and locations into GIS from as‑built work order system and proposed sketches.
- Map and maintain geographic information system data, including parcels, streets, and addressing from digital and paper survey plats.
- Prepare cartographic maps for internal and external customers to represent pipeline locations or analysis of data.
- Maintain standard electronic and hard copy maps, drawings, and record sets as changes are received from user groups, including proper interpretation of construction prints, technical reports, gas work orders and other sources for detection of necessary modification or required re‑draw.
- Prepare construction drawings for various user groups; correlate user instructions, sketches, survey notes, maps, engineering drawings, and records to achieve an accurate and functional design layout.
- Prepare special drawings for various users, which may include plans and profiles, pipeline schematics, valve assemblies, and three‑dimensional representations.
- A high school or general education diploma.
- A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- One (1) year of GIS experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the discipline.
- Preferences:
Demonstrated experience with gas utility mapping using geometric network or utility network environments; bilingual proficiency in Spanish.
Field/office environment. Ability to sit up to 2/3 of the time and to stand, walk, and stoop up to 1/3 of the time. Good vision and ability to focus are required. Manual dexterity is required. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10ysm pounds.
