- Experience with CAD tools (e.g., Solid Works, CATIA) and systems modeling tools (e.g., DOORS, Cameo, SysML).
- Experience supporting design and technical reviews (PDR, CDR, TRR).
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- INCOSE certification (CSEP or ASEP)
- Background in system safety analysis (FMEA, FTA)
- Experience with HAPS, LEO satellites, UAVs, or other high-altitude or space systems
Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Sr. Aerospace Systems Engineer for our client, a high-growth technology company, building the next generation of instant communications, imaging and remote sensing infrastructure through stratospheric platforms. The Senior Aerospace Systems Engineer will play a critical leadership role in the development and integration of our High-Altitude Platform System (HAPS). This person will serve as the right-hand to the Director of Systems Engineering, operating as a senior technical authority supporting system architecture, integration, and execution of the HAPS platform.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead system-level architecture definition, modeling, and documentation from concept through integration and flight readiness.
- Drive requirements development, allocation, verification, and validation across hardware, software, electrical, and operational domains.
- Ensure alignment with INCOSE systems engineering standards and SEBoK principles.
- Lead system-level trade studies, risk assessments, and technical decision-making.
- Coordinate complex technical interfaces across multidisciplinary engineering teams and external stakeholders.
- Support system integration, test planning, and execution, including participation in test readiness and flight readiness reviews.
- Contribute to configuration management, verification planning, and design assurance activities.
- Mentor and technically guide systems engineers, raising overall engineering rigor and maturity.
- Support continuous improvement of systems engineering processes, tools, and best practices.
$145,000 to $185,000 per year annual salary.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
