River Tech is looking for a Chief Engineer to work in Albuquerque, NM. Seeking an experienced systems engineering professional for the Chief of Engineering position at the Distributed Mission Operations Center (DMOC) on Kirtland, AFB. The role involves supporting the development and integration of new and existing Modeling & Simulation (M&S) capabilities by managing technical requirements definition, requirement document development, functional architecture definition, design specification review, acceptance test plans development, acceptance test execution, and acceptance test report development.
Responsibilities- All engineering activities outlined in the Performance Work Statement
- Strategic vision/goals for the engineering team
- Team training and responsibilities
- Technical requirements documentation development
- Functional architecture and configuration
- Acceptance test plans and reporting
- Direct guidance and task assignment for the engineering team
- Systems Engineering processes and best practices
- Modeling & Simulation protocols including Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) and/or High-Level Architecture (HLA)
- Virtualization technologies (e.g., vmWare)
- Containerization and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies including Docker/Kubernetes, Open Shift, Ansible, etc
- MS in IT Management / BS in Information Technology or Networking
- Active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain TS
- 2 years modeling and simulation experience
