LHH is working with an innovative aerospace company in Moriarty, NM, to find a Propulsion Engineering Manager
. In this role, you’ll lead a team responsible for designing, developing, and testing propulsion systems for stratospheric airships. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in mechanical design, propulsion systems, and engineering management, with a passion for innovation in aerospace technology.

• Lead a team to design and develop propulsion systems for stratospheric airships.
• Define technical roadmaps and ensure alignment with program and performance objectives.
• Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient design delivery.
• Lead system validation through testing and continuous improvement.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical design with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Expertise in actuated systems, electromechanical components, and precision mechanisms.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical principles like kinematics, dynamics, and thermal analysis.
