Purpose

To execute assigned projects through administration, technical, and management techniques to ensure successful completion on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

Leadership and Direction

  • Receive guidance from senior management regarding objectives, issues, concepts, and policies. Manage staff and processes for effective execution. Review work for quality assurance.

Operational and Company Level

  • Assist in marketing the firm’s capabilities to establish and maintain client relationships.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to meet project requirements.
  • Drive project profitability and growth.

Project Work

  • Develop projects, finalize scope, prepare bid summaries, budgets, and estimates.
  • Manage multiple projects daily to meet milestones.
  • Prepare designs, specifications, plans, and reports.
  • Review job costs and ensure projects stay within budget.
  • Monitor work-in-process, billings, and receivables.
  • Maintain client relationships and address project questions.
  • Support marketing efforts and secure repeat business.
  • Supervise project personnel to meet professional standards.
  • Coordinate with clients, agencies, subcontractors, and design teams.
  • Review project changes and assess staffing and budget impacts.
  • Provide technical assistance for design issues and field investigations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
  • Professional registration preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of civil engineering experience, including 3 years in assistant project management.
  • Experience in land development, municipal codes, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, AES, CIVILD, WSPGW, PCSWMM, Storm

    CAD, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS.
  • Experience with storm drain modeling, hydrologic calculations, and HEC-RAS applications.
  • Ability to prepare reports, development applications, and submittals.
