Performs a variety of administrative and staff support duties for the Children's Campus department, which requires a range of skills and a knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, programs, and philosophy. Individuals will assist with staff and children's files, regulatory requirements, and accreditation requirements to remain in compliance with Early Childhood Education and Care Department requirements, Childcare Licensing regulations, and the National Association for the Education of Young Children Accreditation criteria.
This position also requires assisting and directing visitors, staff, and families and providing support in resolving administrative problems and inquiries. Duties will include administrative support with composing, editing, and proofreading correspondence and reports, as well as preparing a range of administrative documents relevant to department needs and events. - If this position is assigned to the Athletics Department, either administratively or functionally, compliance with all NCAA rules and regulations is required.
- All regular, non-temporary positions assigned to this classification are represented by a labor union and subject to the terms and conditions of the US-UNM Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

- Experience with CYFD Licensing
- Experience with HIPAA Compliance
- Experience with FERPA Compliance
- Experience with Children’s Campus policies and procedures
- Experience with Children’s campus philosophy
- Experience with Children’s Campus Programming
- Experience with Microsoft Excel
This position is located at the UNM Children's Campus; therefore, the successful candidate must pass a comprehensive post-offer, pre-employment criminal and Early Childhood Education and Care Department (ECECD) fingerprint background check, and must submit to post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check.
