Position Summary
University of New Mexico - College of Education and Human Sciences Sport Administration Faculty Position
The University of New Mexico (UNM), located in Albuquerque, is the state's flagship public research university. The Sport Administration program, housed within the Department of Health, Exercise & Sports Sciences in the College of Education and Human Sciences, has a long-standing tradition of preparing students for leadership roles in sport organizations. Established in 1979, the program offers both master's and doctoral degrees.
Currently, the program is in the process of developing an undergraduate program in sport management. The program invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Sport Administration, beginning August 2026.
- sustain an active research agenda;
- teach a variety of graduate and undergraduate-level courses in Sport Administration and related areas;
- advise master's and doctoral-level students and contribute to service on related degree committees;
- participate in the collaborative development of an undergraduate degree program in Sport Management;
- supervise graduate-level internships;
- maintain regular office hours.
