Lecturer I/II - Statistics/Analytics/Operations Management

The Department of Marketing, Information Systems, and Decision Sciences at the Anderson School of Management is seeking to fill the position of Lecturer I/II in Statistics, Analytics, and Operations Management to begin August 2026, depending on funding approval.

The Anderson School of Management is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International and is one of the few programs in the world to attain both an Accounting and Business Accreditation from AACSB. We offer BBA and MBA degrees in 12 concentrations as well as an Executive MBA for working professionals and an MBA in Education Leadership.

With over 21,000 alumni, Anderson alums can be found having an impact in their communities all over the world. Anderson emphasizes collaborative student interaction, active adult learning, team experiences and scholarship that draw upon a variety of methodologies and subject areas.

Teaching responsibilities for this position include undergraduate and graduate courses in Operations Management and related topics.

The Marketing, Information Systems, and Decision Sciences group is a small, cohesive group seeking colleagues who demonstrate a willingness to make a commitment to maintaining and building a strong operations management area within The Robert O. Anderson School of Management.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must possess an earned master’s degree or have a strong prospect for completing a master’s degree in Analytics, Operations Management, Operations Research, Management Science, Information Systems, Applied Economics, or a closely related field from an accredited institution by August 2026

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Evidence of excellence or promise of achieving excellence in teaching core and elective courses related to business statistics, analytics, or operations management at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Demonstrated ability or interest in teaching Operations Management core and elective courses such as logistics systems management, supply chain models and analytics, business statistics, service operations management, quality management, programming, and cybersecurity.
  • Demonstrated ability or interest in teaching online.
  • A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university's mission to serve local and global communities.
