Marketing Coordinator (Active‑Duty Service Members Only) DOD Skill Bridge Program
Join WSP’s Strategic Growth Team as a full‑time Marketing Coordinator, participating in the Department of Defense Skill Bridge internship program. This unpaid internship allows active‑duty service members to develop marketing expertise while continuing to receive their military pay and benefits.
Location flexibility:
The role is based in Phoenix, Tucson, AZ;
Denver, CO;
Albuquerque, NM; or Salt Lake City, UT, with a hybrid workplace model (remote or in‑office).
- Develop and write content for WSP proposals and other marketing deliverables.
- Provide layout and design for proposals and collateral using templates or working with a graphic designer.
- Serve as an author for proposal content, simplifying technical information and telling our story.
- Copy‑edit, proofread, and review proposals and marketing collateral.
- Gather information through research, statistical reports and interviews with technical staff.
- Leverage resources across the firm to support all stages of pursuit and differentiate WSP to the client.
- Work with pursuit teams to develop differentiators, value propositions and key messages.
- Apply new technologies and innovations in proposals and presentations, including creative media and digital tools.
- Provide support to the proposal development and delivery team, ensuring compliance, readability, quality and sales messaging.
- Travel: 25 %.

Minimum Requirements
- Active‑duty members, preferably with a technical background.
- Authorization and approval from a unit commander to participate in Skill Bridge.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, English or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in a related field.
- Write compelling content under tight deadlines.
- Apply journalistic writing styles, including the inverted pyramid.
- Follow style guides such as AP or Chicago.
- Adopt brand guidelines.
- Strong verbal and written communication, critical thinking, marketing strategy, facilitation, and teamwork.
- Strategic mindset and sound judgment.
- Build trust and influence across all levels.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, SharePoint, and other communications software.
- Skill Bridge internship:
