Presbyterian Medical Group seeks a Board Eligible / Board Certified Endocrinologist to join our established practice in Albuquerque New Mexico. We're all about well-being, starting with yours. Practice Highlights- Monday - Friday
Schedule:
Physician will have 36 hours of scheduled patient care and 4 hours of administrative time per week. Flexible schedule options. Family friendly employer - Daily volume of 18+ patients per day for a mature practice
- Group size: 7 Physicians, 1 APP and 1 Pharmacist Clinician and 2 CDE
- Only have practice call responsibility, no admissions or hospital call - low volume
- 50% diabetic, 40% thyroid and the remaining 10% is other endocrine functions
- Our practice offers gender-affirming care, and we welcome candidates interested in incorporating this into their practice.
- Comprehensive diabetes program with Certified Diabetic Educator (CDE), Pharmacist Clinician and Advance Practice Provider (APP) support.
- Ability to perform thyroid biopsies and Fine Needle Aspirations preferred.
- Robust Tumor board with collaboration with outside supporting specialties
- Mature practice with embedded prior authorization team members to minimize administrative burden
- Delivers clinical care to patients in the PMG Endo practice in venues including clinic and inpatient consults.
- Certified to perform thyroid fine needle aspiration biopsies
- Trained in the use of insulin pumps and CGMs.
- Participates in night call in rotation with the general Endo practice
- Supervises the care delivered by APCs in the PMG Endo practice
- Support mechanisms to gather and report quality measures
- Receives and resolves patient, staff and provider complaints.
- Participates in quality improvement plans
- Works with the leadership team including DPO, MSO, clinic manager on the practices financial, clinical, and service quality performance;
- Participates in the recruitment and retention of physicians and staff who work in the practice
- Takes corrective action when arranged with accountability and authority
- Performs other functions as required
Job Description
M.D./D.O. in clinical practice. Current New Mexico License required. Board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism.
Ability to determine care plans for patients and execute them. Ability to teach, train and oversee APCs in the care they deliver to endo patients in clinic.
Sits, stands, walks 8-12 hours a day. Assumes and maintains various postural positions from ground to overhead.
