Position: Open Rank of Radiology in Abdominal Radiology

Position Summary

The Department of Radiology at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center is seeking an outstanding individual to join our Abdominal Imaging section.

In‑person, hybrid, and remote options are available, along with academic and staff (100% clinical) positions.

Clinical responsibilities include primary diagnostic and consultative service in Abdominal and Oncologic Imaging (X‑ray/fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, US) for exams performed at multiple locations; no interventional procedures.

Section members typically rotate at our adjacent NCI‑designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, participating in clinical consultations, tumor boards, and multidisciplinary conferences.

Research opportunities include diverse and growing translational imaging and image‑processing facilities, supported by dedicated research and publications staff.

Applicants welcome, including those seeking J‑1 waiver/H‑1B sponsorship.

Qualifications
  • MD, DO, or equivalent
  • Able to obtain state licensure in New Mexico
  • Abdominal/body/oncologic imaging fellowship completed by contract start date, or comparable experience
  • A  board‑certified or board‑eligible in Diagnostic Radiology by contract start date
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and learner success, and experience working with diverse communities
  • Desire to work in an academic radiology practice with residents and fellows
