Landscape Designer

Consensus Planning is seeking a passionate, forward-thinking landscape designer to join our dynamic, diverse team at Consensus Planning. Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree (preferred) in landscape architecture or a related field.
• +/- 2 years of relevant experience in a landscape architecture firm or multi-disciplinary office environment.
• Interest in gaining experience with various project types, including parks and open space/outdoor recreation, single and multi-family development, streetscapes, institutional, educational, and urban design.
• Experience in preparing contract documents, including knowledge of construction materials and methods, plant materials, irrigation design, and cost estimation.
• Comfortable working on multiple projects to meet internal and external project deadlines.
• Proficiency with Land FX, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Suite.

Additional Skills and Experience (desired, but not required):

• Familiarity with and experience in xeriscape design principles.
• Experience and knowledge of regulatory requirements for landscape and site plans in Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, and other municipalities.
• Site design, including but not limited to, circulation, courtyard and pool environments, and site/drainage coordination.
• Understanding and experience with urban design through sketching and developing conceptual plans (experience with rendering in Sketch Up a plus).
