The Drafter will be responsible for creating drawings for layout, installation, and materials inventories for parts and components of low voltage wiring system.
This position has a salary range of $15-$20 per hour depending on experience
Job Responsibilities- Uphold the core values and mission of A-com Technologies.
- Uses computer assisted design/drafting (AutoCAD) equipment and software to develop designs
- Makes final sketch of proposed drawing, checking dimension of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project.
- Sketches rough layout of product and computes angles, weights, surface areas, dimensions, radii, clearances, tolerances, leverages, and location of holes.
- Drafts detailed multi-view drawings of products.
- Draws finished designs from sketches.
- Responsible for maintaining an organized file system for Production Drawings.
- Communicate effectively with Estimators, PM, Sales, and Installation regarding new and revised prints.
- Coordinates drafting work with multiple stakeholders.
- Follows established technical specifications to prepare drawings.
- Identifies problems or inconsistencies in the plans, data, and specifications.
- Consults with engineers as needed to resolve questions.
- Other duties and special projects as requested.
- Associate degree in computer-aided design and drafting
- Skilled in AutoCAD (1 year required), CAD (1 year preferred), and Drafting (1 year preferred)
- Microsoft Office
- Able to effectively read blueprints and drawings
- Communicates effectively with multiple stakeholders
- Buildertrend Software
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
