We are seeking a creative, innovative, and collaborative leader who is committed to design quality and passionate about sustainability higher education to become a key member of our team. You will work with other firm practice leaders to develop and direct the firm’s campus planning work and communicate closely with Stantec clients and provide guidance to staff.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Understands emerging trends in learning environments and student success criteria;
- Le and directs research, analysis, programming, and campus design strategies;
- Leads client presentations and public processes;
- Facilitates campus and community engagement;
- Maintains a professional profile as a thought leader in the field, including speaking publicly and authoring publications;
- Directs and contributes to the development of planning reports and other deliverables, including compelling graphics and narrative;
- Secures new business through client relationship development and participates proactively in marketing efforts;
- Mentors Page planners and urban designers.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Portfolio of creative campus planning/urban design projects demonstrating understanding of critical issues, conceptual design abilities and systems thinking;
- Command of programmatic and physical analyses;
- Experience facilitating large stakeholder meetings;
- Ability to work across a broad range of scales;
- Strong leadership and management skills;
- Proven success in business development;
- AICP accreditation is preferred;
- LEED accreditation is desirable;
- We are interested in applicants who may have had a non-typical path into planning and design.
Education and Experience
Professional degree in planning, urban design, landscape architecture, or architecture;
15 years of integrated campus planning/urban design;
Experience developing and directing work produced in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, ArcGIS, Rhinoceros 3D, and Data Visualization (such as Tableau).

About the TeamPay Transparency:In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.

Summary:
Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year.
In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).
Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
