• Greet and welcome patients and sustain their comfort while providing education during treatment.
• Conduct thorough patient health‑history reviews to support quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.).
• Provide chairside assistance (four‑handed dentistry) to dentists during a wide variety of procedures in accordance with the state dental practice act.
• Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms with strict safety protocols, following OSHA & CDC recommendations.
• Manage supply and inventory levels, placing and expediting orders as needed.
• Partner with providers and the team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric environment.
• Dental‑assistant certification and/or x‑ray certification, if required under the state dental practice act.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Will receive regular HIPAA training and be responsible for protecting PHI and maintaining data safeguards.

• 1+ year of experience in a dental setting.
• Experience using Dentrix or other dental software.
• Dental‑assisting school certification.

• Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.
• Availability to attend virtual or in‑person training sessions periodically throughout the year.
• All new hires in dental office positions must complete a TB test prior to starting employment (not applicable in FL & TN).
