What You'll Do
  • Independently create detailed, accurate placing rebar drawings and bar lists to facilitate field placement and project scheduling.
  • Verify drawings, specifications, addenda, and information from contract documents.
  • Work with job site and shop personnel to determine requirements for detailing and delivery of material.
  • Identify and develop information required to inform management team and customers of any changes to the contract.
  • Familiarity with concrete accessories, couplers, WWF mesh is a plus.
  • Communicate with ironworkers, customers, and A/E on all questions relating to projects including writing of RFIs.
  • Enter all orders into business system and prepare reports to assist in management of projects.
  • Take on additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by management to support overall goals and objectives of the organization.
What You'll Need
  • Ability to read and interpret contract documents.
  • Basic mathematics, algebra, and geometry skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, Autodesk or Bentley CAD platforms.
  • Basic knowledge of rebar types, shapes, size, and applications preferred.
  • Understanding of linear measurements (feet, inches, decimals, metric).
  • Excellent customer‑relations skills.
  • Knowledge of structural concrete members and building systems.
  • Spatial visualization ability.
  • Recognition of colors.
  • Critical thinking skills to solve unique problems.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Bi‑lingual English/Spanish preferred.
Your Education
  • Associate degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Technologies preferred.
  • Completion of computer‑aided drawing software program preferred.
