The Mid-Region Council of Governments is accepting resumes for the position of Facilities/ Maintenance Worker for the New Mexico Rail Runner Express.

Candidates must have knowledge of construction and railroad facilities; general electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and masonry. Must be skilled in hand tools and able to maintain and monitor facilities, platforms, and public areas. Ability to walk several miles on uneven, wet, or snow-covered ground may be necessary. Must be able to lift 75 lbs.

Qualifications include high school diploma or GED, and five years of experience in construction or construction related activities. A valid New Mexico driver's license, and no more than 1 moving violation in the past 24 months. Knowledge of railroad construction and construction management beneficial. Residence in Albuquerque/Santa Fe, or surrounding area preferred. Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written forms is essential.

Employment pending a successful background check, a valid New Mexico driver's license and no more than one (1) moving violation in the past year. All new employees are hired subject to a one-year probationary status. Salary is entry level commensurate with experience.
