The Business Administration Specialist ensures payroll and HR administration runs smoothly, supports invoicing/receiving to free up procurement resources, maintains PSA software platform data accuracy, resolves operational anomalies, manages government contract reporting, and handles office/vendor administration.
This is not a purely clerical role — the successful candidate will receive intensive training during their first 90 days to learn our systems, processes, and cross-department workflows. Once trained, they will be expected to proactively identify when something “doesn’t look right” in orders, tickets, projects, or HR/payroll processes, and take the appropriate steps to correct it or escalate as needed.

The first three months will be focused on mastering systems, processes, and cross-department workflows to build the foundation for spotting and resolving issues.
- Connect Wise PSA – Complete all formal Connect Wise University training modules relevant to the role, including advanced functionality for Manage PSA and CPQ.
- Process Mastery
- Read all current documented processes.
- Extensively shadow staff in Sales, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and HR to see workflows in real life.
- Coordinate with each department to ensure their process documentation is current and accurate. Perform SOP updates to ensure you have in-depth understanding of all processes.
- Additional Systems Training – Complete relevant Bamboo
HR or other platform training modules. - Onsite in Albuquerque, NM.
- Standard business hours, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Collaborative work with multiple departments.
This role will encounter exceptions that are unpredictable in nature and occur wherever operational processes deviate from the documented standard. Examples include:
- Data entered incorrectly or incompletely in Connect Wise Manage PSA or Bamboo
HR. - Steps skipped or done out of order in sales, engineering, procurement, HR, or other workflows; missing or incomplete documentation.
- Conflicting information between related records.
The ability to recognize these issues depends on deep familiarity with our systems and processes, which will be developed through training.
Top Priorities- Payroll & HR Administration – Payroll processing, onboarding/offboarding, benefits administration, and Bamboo
HR management. - Invoicing & Receiving Support – Processing invoices from vendors/distributors, matching to our POs, confirming receipt in PSA software platform.
- Process Exception Resolution – Resolving operational anomalies by finding them independently, or being advised of them, within platforms such as Connect Wise Manage PSA and Bamboo
HR. - Government Contract Reporting – Preparing and submitting monthly and quarterly reports tied to sales orders.
- Procurement Assistance – Providing support when procurement workload spikes.
- General Office & License Administration – Supplies, vendor coordination, internal-use license tracking and communication of upcoming renewals.
- Documentation Maintenance – Ensuring departmental process documentation is accurate and current.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years in business operations, payroll and HR administration, or closely related roles (preferably in IT services, VAR/MSP, or other dynamic project-based environments).
- Experience with business systems such as PSA/ERP and quoting tools (Connect Wise, Autotask, Net Suite, Quote Werks, etc.) and HRIS platforms (Bamboo
HR preferred). - Proven ability to learn complex systems and processes quickly.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to professionally enforce process compliance.
- Prior experience in a role that required utmost integrity and confidentiality.
- Connect Wise Manage PSA and/or CPQ experience.
- Government contract sales reporting experience.
- B2B purchasing or procurement experience.
- Payroll processing experience.
