The Center for Development and Disability (CDD) is New Mexico's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. The Center for Development and Disability (CDD) Medically Fragile Case Management Program (MFCMP) is seeking an Administrative Assistant 2 who possesses high attention to detail and organization skills. This position is not eligible for remote work.
MFCMP provides statewide home and community-based nurse case management services part of contracts with the Managed Care Organizations and as a Medically Fragile Waiver provider. The RNs perform monthly contact and annual level of care assessments, as well as facilitate and implement individualized service plans.
The administrative team of MFCMP assists in ensuring documentation related to the work of the RN Case Managers meets contractual requirements including timelines and deadlines. The Admin Assistant 2 position is essential in ensuring the Program runs smoothly and continues to provide services without interruption. You will assist the admin team in day-to-day operations, including incoming and outgoing communications and collaborating as needed with the RNs, nursing agencies, Managed Care Organizations and the third‑party assessor to ensure deadlines are met and client services are accessed in a timely, continuous manner.
The Program serves a very vulnerable population; thus, staff work very closely together and must maintain strong work ethics and diligence in remaining flexible in the midst of changes and fluctuating workloads.
Assist with day‑to‑day administrative operations, communications, and coordination with RN case managers, nursing agencies, Managed Care Organizations and third‑party assessors to support timely documentation and service delivery in a high‑needs population.
Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year‑for‑year basis.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word), Adobe products, Zoom, and other relevant technologies.
- Experience with UNM applications including Chrome River and Lobo Mart.
- Demonstrated ability to create and edit clear, professional written materials.
- Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
