Position Overview CUMULUS MEDIA | Albuquerque has an immediate opening for a Sales/Admin Assistant. This is an outstanding opportunity to work with some of the top radio talents in the country and become an ambassador for Cumulus. We are looking for an individual with an outgoing personality that also has the ability to be flexible, proactively supportive, productive, friendly, and most importantly, loves radio.
The sales assistant/coordinator is an integral part of a radio advertising sales team and provides administrative support to the sales reps and managers.
- Act as liaison between the sales team, clients, and other inter-company departments.
- Oversee the Continuity process, connecting advertiser creatives with systems to air commercials.
- Organize and input new and revised orders; assist in creating sales proposals, digital campaigns, and provide customer care to eliminate problems and grow business.
- Receptionist duties: answer phones, type correspondence, schedule appointments.
- Assist Account Executives with orders and traffic.
- Prepare and assemble reports and presentations.
- Provide research materials using Tapscan, Media Monitors, Scarborough, etc.
- Keep sales materials/media kits up to date.
- Backup for Account Executives entering traffic instructions into Vcreative.
- Backup promotions department when needed and attend national promotion events.
- Assist in station social media posts.
- Maintain account lists, mailing lists, and employee lists.
- Provide support to clients with documents, forms, and other paperwork for seamless media buys.
- Assist Traffic Managers with copy and traffic clearance.
- Work on highly time-sensitive projects, adhering to deadlines.
- Manage multiple project requests simultaneously with quick turnaround time.
- Enter National orders and commercial copy.
- Perform additional duties as designated by Sales Manager or Market Manager related to sales or administrative functions.
- 1–3 years of experience in an office environment supporting sales, marketing, advertising, and/or promotions.
- Extensive computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), image manipulation, social media, and adaptability to proprietary systems.
- Background in radio station continuity or sales helpful.
- Self‑starter, detail-oriented, organized, with excellent written and oral communication and strong multitasking skills.
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and team player attitude.
- Aptitude to make decisions and work independently without immediate direction or supervision.
- Ability to interact with management and staff at all levels.
