Accountant, Financial Reporting, Tax Accountant

Overview

Our client, a global apparel company, is looking for an Accountant to join their team. This will be an onsite role working out of their office in Albuquerque. The successful candidate will possess advanced analytical skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines. Please no corp-to-corp applicants or third-party agencies. Sub-contracted candidates or candidates that require immediate sponsorship cannot be considered.

• Contract Role: 9 months
• Pay: $30-34/hr on W2
• Schedule:
  
  Onsite, 40 hour work week

• Prepare and deliver monthly financial reports ensuring accuracy
• Support the monthly and quarterly financial close process (journal entries, intercompany transactions, reconciliations, etc.)
• Prepare, review, and audit statutory financial statements
• Identify and research variances to budgets, forecast, and expenses

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required
• Knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and the financial close process
• 2+ years of corporate accounting experience, experience within the fashion or retail industry a plus
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, knowledge of Quick Books and Oracle is preferred
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
