Accounting Manager

• Oversee and manage the general ledger.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures, and ensure compliance.
• Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly and annual statements.
• Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of the organizational structure.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts.
• Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
• Develop and maintain internal control and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
• Work closely with management or executive teams to share reports and analysis findings.
• Manage and track the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An advanced degree or professional certification such as CPA is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proven experience with general ledger functions, including setting up new ledgers, accounts, and cost centers.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Extensive knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and GAAP.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Experience in the construction industry is a plus.
