Accounting Senior; CAAS - Construction Industry

CLA is currently seeking a Senior with experience to join our Spoke CAAS (Construction Industry) group in our Albuquerque, NM office. This role includes on‑site client work and requires proficiency in construction accounting tasks such as job costing, AIA billing, and union‑related reporting.

• Client Service:
  Develop understanding of each client’s business/organization operations. Manage multiple clients, software, and chart of accounts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Day to Day Transactions:
  Lead coordination and processing of accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and payroll.
• Month End Processing:
  Coordinate and complete account reconciliations, prepare and review financial statements, and proactively create process and procedure documentation.
• Other Quarterly/Annual Processing:
  Complete sales tax returns and Form 1099s and prepare audit work papers, tax return work papers, and other forms or items as requested by clients.
• Special Projects:
  Assist with projects for internal audit, due diligence, system selection, and other consultative projects.

• 2 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience is required.
• Bachelor’s degree is required. Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
