KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records for multiple clients
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and monthly adjustments
  • Produce monthly, quarterly, and year‑end financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow reports)
  • Review and analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to clients
Tax Support When Needed
  • Support tax team with preparation of business and individual tax returns
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
  • Conduct basic tax research and assist in identifying planning opportunities for clients
Client Communication & Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary accounting contact for assigned clients
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding financial reports, tax documentation, and general accounting matters
  • Build strong relationships through proactive communication and reliable service
Compliance & Advisory
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP and firm best practices
  • Provide documentation and support during audits or tax examinations
  • Stay current on accounting standards and regulatory changes affecting clients
  • Work closely with managers, senior accountants, and tax professionals
  • Assist with onboarding and training of junior staff when applicable
  • Participate in process improvement and internal initiatives to enhance client service
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a CPA or public accounting firm
  • Strong proficiency with Quick Books, Xero, or similar cloud‑based accounting software
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and client priorities efficiently
