Job SummaryThe Corporate Accounting Specialist performs key accounting functions related to multi-entity consolidation, including month-end close, account reconciliations, financial analysis, and financial reporting. This role supports consolidated reporting processes in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SOX requirements.
Job Duties- Assist with month, quarter, and year-end financial close, owning specific closing tasks and providing backup support for consolidated reporting activities
- Support and maintain the consolidated financial reporting system
- Maintain and update work instructions and documentation
- Prepare and post various journal entries
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements and supporting reports
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including timely follow-up and resolution of reconciling items
- Respond to SEC reporting requests required by corporate accounting
- Support tax information requests required by the tax department
- Assist in preparing schedules for quarterly and annual audits
- Identify and help implement process improvements
- Solve problems and develop new analytical methods as needed
- Prepare ad hoc reports and financial analyses
- Participate in and/or lead special projects
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SOX controls
- Provide support to other financial areas as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- Master’s degree and/or CPA preferred
- 2–4 years of accounting or finance experience preferred
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and U.S. GAAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Graduate degree and/or professional certification recommended
