Logistics Leadership
1. Assist with the execution of FBIN transportation strategy to support department and company initiatives.
2. Align raw material and finished goods transportation to maximize Ryder fleet utilization.
3. Facilitate transportation support for all departments.
4. Develop tools to Measure and track logistics key performance indicators and metrics to ensure a progressive understanding of how logistics goals are supporting company targets.
5. Ensure accountability of carriers, LTL Carriers, and other 3rd party transportation providers to established performance standards.
Finished Good Distribution and Raw Material Transportation
1. Plan and coordinate distribution centers' transportation needs based upon sales, production planning, and warehouse storage capacities.
2. Coordinate a variety of transportation solutions to support final mile delivery in a growing and dynamic distribution network of Pool Carriers, LTL Carriers, and Ryder.
3. Create and communicate daily Albert Lea and Mocksville departure schedules
4. Coordinate and optimize transportation movements required to transport raw materials. Plan and align transportation of raw materials by pairing finished good distribution with the best available transportation resource and value.
5. Coordinate with Ryder and FBIN Logistics team on route optimization and efficiencies.
6. Manage OSD, freight tracking, and claims for the whole of the Larson distribution network.
7. Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, and service while minimizing department spending.
8. Drive carrier processes and performance for Pool and contract transportation resources.
Qualifications
1. College degree or equivalent work experience, product knowledge, and experience in distribution is essential to perform this job.
2. Must have strong computer knowledge and experience to develop complex analysis supporting decision-making.
3. Strong analytical skills and adept at analyzing data to draw conclusions and support business decisions.
4. Ability to lead, influence and manage team members, customers, and vendors
5. Must be courteous and maintain a good working relationship with supervisors and co-workers.
6. Must abide by all Larson & FBIN policies.
7. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
