Housekeeper (Full Time) – Mennonite Village Continuing Care Retirement Community

Starting pay: $15.75 – $18.07 per hour.

Day‑to‑day responsibilities

• Tackle routine and deep cleaning tasks (dusting, mopping, sanitizing rooms and bathrooms)
• Ensure each new resident moves into a spotless home by conducting deep cleanings and following specific cleaning preferences
• Gather and dispose of trash and waste; operate environmental service equipment efficiently
• Coordinate laundry services and maintain adequate linens and clothing supplies for residents
• Interact professionally with residents, adding a personal touch to work
• Follow infection control procedures to maintain a safe environment

• Read warning labels of cleaning chemicals for safe handling
• Working knowledge of housekeeping equipment, sanitation, chemical mixing, and general safety rules (preferred)
• Physical stamina: lift up to 50 lbs; stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and operate cleaning equipment

Requirements

• Ability to read warning labels of dangerous chemicals to ensure proper handling
• Working knowledge of housekeeping equipment, sanitation practices, and chemical handling (preferred)
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and operate various cleaning equipment

Criminal background check is required for new hires. Mennonite Village is a drug‑free workplace. Background information may be obtained through the Driver and Motor Vehicle Services Division (DMV), court records, and other state data systems. Fingerprints may be required as part of the check.
