Position Name: Special Education Assistant (Gen Ed) 5.25 hours / Food Service Assistant – 1.50 hours

Salary Level (SEA): $17.61 - $21.69

Salary Level (FSA): $16.50 – $20.29

Location: Liberty Elementary School

Reports to: Building Principal

Shift: 6.75 hours per day (5.25 SEA / 1.50 FSA)

Work Calendar: 179 days (9 mo elem), 179 days (9 mo nutrition)

• Under direct teacher supervision, performs a variety of tasks assisting a teacher in the development of an instructional program by working with students individually or in small groups.
• Prepares instructional materials, maintains classroom discipline, and conducts planned activities using teacher‑designated methods and materials.
• Provides assistance for the physically and intellectually disabled, learning disabled, emotionally disturbed, etc.

• Prepares, serves, and cleans up the food service program for school facilities.
