Senior Technician, Refrigeration​/HVAC

Overview

Position Summary — Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician at a local Walmart store. Support and oversee repair within the Refrigeration HVAC equipment team and assets using commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills and tools to complete jobs in a fast-paced, welcoming environment.

What you’ll do — This role supports and oversees repair of refrigeration HVAC equipment in Walmart facilities, utilizing commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills and tools.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Environmental Protection Agency regulations by following Walmart Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, and work at heights frequently.

• Minimum Qualifications
  • 10 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance
  • Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience
  • Type I/Type II or Universal EPA Certification for Refrigerant handling
  • Valid state driver’s license with clean driving record and ability to pass MVR
  • 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent

• Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of a 2-year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or 2-year AAS in A/C and Refrigeration
  • Excellent driving record
  • Prior work experience with Glycol and CO2 systems

The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00 - $51.00 per hour. Actual pay may vary based on location and factors such as experience and qualifications. Eligible for bonuses and additional compensation in specific circumstances. Benefits include:
