Gate Technician at AFSCO

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

• Welding gates and/or operators into place
• Wiring and programming operators
• Installing operating system and/or mechanical tracks for gate system
• Assembling gates and fastening them into position
• Establishing the location for gate and gathering information needed to ensure there are no electric cables or water lines in the area
• Digging holes using spades, posthole diggers, excavators or power‑driven augers mounted to skid loaders
• Mixing and pouring concrete around bases of posts and/or pedestals
• Constructing and repairing barriers

• 2 - 5 years of industry experience (best candidates will have an aptitude for construction and reading plans, ability to work with low voltage electrical systems, and mechanical background)
• Relevant experience would include garage/overhead door technicians, mechanics, and/or low voltage electricians

An ideal candidate will have the ability to fix any type of mechanical system (often our best technicians have a long‑time experience working on and repairing cars and trucks). Candidates will also be required to weld and wire low voltage electrical systems.
