🛒 About the Role
This position is checkouts
-based, with accuracy, pace, and customer service at the core. You’ll be the final touchpoint in the customer journey, ensuring transactions are processed smoothly and professionally.
Ability to reliably commute to our Albany store and availability to work 5 days a week
- Tuesday to Saturday
, across a rotating roster between 7:00am and 7:00pm required. This role is well suited to someone seeking a structured , entry-level retail position, with clear processes, defined responsibilities, and the opportunity to build skills over time. The hourly rate on offer reflects this. As you settle into the role, you’ll also be supported to develop into broader Customer Services functions over time.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Processing cash, EFTPOS, credit card, account and gift voucher transactions
- Maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in a high-volume environment
With development, you’ll also learn:
- Store announcements (specialist assistance, heavy lifting, key cutting etc.)
- Refunds, exchanges, and returns
- Faulty goods and repair processes
- Click & Collect, special orders, and home deliveries
What You’ll Bring

Previous experience in a checkouts/point of sale role ideally in retail
🕒 Availability to work 5 days a week on a Tuesday to Saturday, across a rotating roster between 7:00am and 7:00pm, including opening and closing shifts, is essential for this role.
🚦 Ability to reliably commute to our Albany store on the North Shore (living within a reasonable travel distance, ideally within 20–30km, required).
🧾Confidence with cash handling and transaction processing.
✔ Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
✔ Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
✔ Experience with loyalty programmes.
✔ Awareness of stock integrity and merchandising standards.
