Overview

Unidine is hiring immediately for full-time and part-time WAITER/WAITRESS positions at Avila Retirement Community, Albany, NY. Location and schedule details are provided below.

• Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room; take food and beverages in an efficient manner following established steps of service.
• Deliver food promptly and professionally; maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards. Follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests.
• Demonstrate understanding of menu items and ingredients; advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks, accommodate reasonable requests, and note preferences. Demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed.
• Communicate directly with back-of-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.
• Exhibit strong communication skills and collaborate well with guests and staff. Remain flexible and patient in interactions.
• Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
• Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
• Maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared.
• Address complaints or issues promptly and relay relevant information to a supervisor.
• Ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service; keep the area clean and neat while meeting sanitation standards.
• Operate a variety of equipment as needed (fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, etc.).
• Collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Schedule:
  
  Full-time and part-time; 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm weekdays, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm Sundays. More details upon interview.
• Pay Range: $17.00 per hour to $18.00 per hour
