The Division of Internal Medicine at Albany Medical College is seeking a full-time experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our outpatient, academic clinic. This role focuses on delivering high-quality primary care to an established patient population while working closely with physicians, pharmacists, and other members of an interdisciplinary care team.

** Position Overview
** The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive primary care services to adult patients in an outpatient Internal Medicine setting. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, patient-centered care, and teamwork within an academic environment.
** Key Responsibilities
*** Provide comprehensive primary care services including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of acute and chronic conditions
* Conduct patient visits, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications in accordance with scope of practice
* Manage preventive care, health maintenance, and patient education
* Collaborate closely with attending physicians, nursing staff, and care coordinators
* Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration, including quality improvement initiatives with the pharmacy team
* Document care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
* Contribute to a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
* Participate in academic activities, including the potential to precept Nurse Practitioner students
** Qualifications
* ** Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
* License and active registration as a registered nurse/nurse practitioner in New York State
* Prior experience in primary care or Internal Medicine strongly preferred
* Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
* Interest in academic practice, teaching, and collaborative care models
