- Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – Neuro-Progressive / Stepdown
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2020 - $2130 per week
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
- Minimum 1 year recent experience in Neuro-Progressive, Stepdown, or ICU settings
- Epic EMR experience required (Epic documentation and charting)
- Ability to pass a Neuro-Progressive competency exam upon offer
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient monitoring skills
- Travel nurse experience or prior PCU/stepdown assignment preferred
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) patients with a focus on neurological and stepdown care
- Monitor, assess, and document patient status, interventions, and progress using Epic EMR
- Manage care for patients requiring telemetry, neuro monitoring, and stepped-down critical care services
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, therapists, case managers) to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition; initiate appropriate interventions and escalate when necessary
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, procedures, medications, and post-discharge instructions
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and quality standards for PCU/stepdown nursing
