Position will focus on education of current staff and orientation of new staff. The position includes auditing and is part of the leadership team.

A Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Must hold current New York State Registered Nurse registration and certification or eligible for licensure in New York State.

Demonstrated clinical competence and in depth knowledge in specialty area.

Creates a collegial and collaborative environment among all members of the healthcare team. Demonstrated effective leadership, teaching, research and communication skills.

Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for decisions. Utilizes problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. Coaches and mentors staff. Researches and develops specialty specific practice standards and communicates them to other staff in their area of specialty.

Ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to improve job performance through continuing education.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be subject to infectious materials and chemicals (see unit specific MSDS information). This job requires, as an essential function, that the majority of the time the employee be physically on‑site as the work cannot be done from a remote location.
