Ten Broeck Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking Full-Time and Part-Time Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) for day (7a-3p), evening (3p-11p), and overnight (11p-7a) shifts. We are offering a $3,000 sign‑on bonus for the Full‑Time CNAs and a $1,500 sign‑on bonus for the Part‑Time CNAs.

Pay Rate: $18.00–$25.00 per hour
Essential Functions of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)- Perform ADL activities: bathing, dressing, nutrition and hydration assistance, locomotion, feeding, incontinence care, toileting, oral hygiene, skin care, grooming (comb/brush hair, nail care, shave), bowel and bladder assistance, maintenance rehab, understanding of least restrictive device regulations, proper utilization of restraint devices, special care needs.
- Provide care for residents with special needs related to their diagnosis (behavioral issues, splints, etc.)
- Report alleged violations involving mistreatment, neglect or abuse, including injuries of unknown source
- Document resident care accurately and completely at point of care using the computerized medical record system
- Note resident condition changes and report to LPN/RN
- Answer call bells timely and politely
- Assist in post‑mortem care
- Perform vital signs as directed
- Report on duty, listen to or obtain report from Charge Nurse, receive assignment
- Make two‑hour and PRN rounds on all residents
- Keep unit neat and clean, straighten nourishment station, clean dirty utility room and other areas as assigned
- Ensure resident is out of bed, dressed, and ready to participate in activities of choice
- Assist residents with ADLs during activities
- Assist residents to participate in individual activities of choice (e.g., set up equipment, positioning assistance, providing lighting and space)
- Move throughout entire unit
- Lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 50 lbs
- Bend, lift, and transport equipment
- Lift and turn residents
- Utilize the computerized medical record system for documentation
- Care for multiple residents in the facility; observe resident rights
- Provide personal care and assistance with ADLs
- Assist nurse with admitting, transferring, and discharging residents
- Assist nurse in giving treatments and examining residents
- Assist with restorative and rehab care with proper instruction and supervision
- Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality
- Maintain current and valid CNA license in the state of practice and employment
- Read, write, speak, and understand English
- Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- Work harmoniously with other personnel
