Overview
Per diem RN – Evenings/Overnights with The Community Hospice to work as part of the Hospice Care Team caring for patients and families in the homecare and nursing home setting after hours on call.
Employment type:
Part time. Shift: Rotating.
- National pre-taxed mileage reimbursement
- Meetings and charting conducted via supplied laptop
- Thorough orientation, preceptors and a supportive work environment
- Prioritizing Your Safety: comprehensive training and protective equipment to create a secure environment for you while delivering care in clients homes
- Visit patients in their home or facility to respond to symptom management needs and coordinate with the team to provide end-of-life support to patients and families
- Based upon the assessment of the On Call Triage RN, this On Call Visit RN will be called to care for a patient/family in need
- Work with interdisciplinary team
- Valid NYS RN license required
- 1-2 years previous RN experience required; homecare and/or Hospice experience preferred
- Ability to learn/use an electronic medical record
- Clean Driver s License and reliable vehicle
- Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with patients, families, physicians and coworkers

Pay and Benefits- Special Per Diem Rates based on Monthly Commitment
Pay Range: for non-per diem full-time or part-time Hospice RN employment: $35.00-$47.75
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
